What class should I take?
If you have NEVER done yoga please take the Yin/Yang or gentle flow. Once you have an understanding of basic yoga, come to any class - we offer modifications for all levels (to make it easier or harder!!). If you are new to yoga and the only time that works for you is a Flow, please come. Let the teacher know it is your first time, and we will work with you to lead you successfully through class. Please don't get discouraged - it can take a few classes to get an understanding of the basics but it is well worth it!! Be patient with yourself - let go of judgement, competition and expectation. No experience required for Restorative Yoga - just a desire to let it all go!!
All classes include meditation.
We will flow slowly, linking breath to movement in a gentle vinyasa style class, beginner friendly!
All levels of yogis welcome....everyone can come to this class and be successful. If you have NEVER done yoga, try a Gentle Flow or Yin/Yang to become familiar with the poses. This is a vinyasa flow yoga class, where we mindfully link breath to movement in a vinyasa style class. We offer options to take any pose to the level that is appropriate for you. (If you are new to yoga and the only time that works for you is a Your Yoga Flow - then please come. Let the teacher know it is your first time, and we will work with you to lead you successfully through class. Please don't get discouraged - it can take a few class to get an understanding of the basics but it is well worth it!! Be patient with yourself - let go of judgement, competition and expectation.
Everyone is welcome to this class! Restorative yoga is a therapeutic style of yoga that helps you achieve physical, mental and emotional release. We use props to completely support the body for total relaxation. The more your body is supported, the deeper the relaxation - no movement, no effort and the brain is quiet. Restorative yoga helps lower blood pressure, reduce stress and increase mindfulness.
All levels! A fusion of Hatha and Yin Yoga. Asana will include seated and standing postures (Yang) to build heat and strength in the body, as well as long passive floor poses (Yin) to target the connective tissues of the body. The long holds in a single still Yin posture become a time of inner reflection, meditation and peace. Your nervous system is calmed, the mind stilled, and in this state your body returns to its natural healthy rhythm.
Flow & Restore
This 90 minute class combines Vinyasa Flow with Restorative Yoga. The first hour of the class we will flow, the last half hour we wil restore. AHHHHHH - the best of both.
